Who are we?
This project was started from a personal response to seeing the need of so many to make ends meet. One afternoon, seeing a farmer in BC giving away excess vegetables before they went bad, overwhelmed to see that this farmers good deed left him face to face with the reality of the unmet needs of Canadians. When the farmer was finished distributing what he had, the line up of people still waiting was shocking and it must have been saddening, having to turn away so many empty totes.
From there we set out to better understand Canada’s agricultural production and Canada’s dependency on others for our vegetables and ground fruits. It was shocking what we learned and as a result we have worked together with numerous others, engineers, geologists, project managers, technicians and those in the food industry, all with a passion to achieve the same outcome. We identified the barriers keeping us from achieving our goal of feeding every Canadian with fresh vegetables all year, every year.
We successfully resolved the barriers in achieving our goals. This is no small task, however, before you just dive into this type of effort, you have to concede certain facts about Canada’s geographic northern location and the very seasonal nature of our Country.
- Canada has a limited growing season, even in our best climatic zones of the country.
- Canada is too far north to truly take advantage of the effective solar radiation, for growing or solar energy generation. That’s unless its subsidized, as it is for both of these industries in our Country today.
- Canada imports most of its vegetables from the US and Mexico, the small percentage that is produced in Canada is sold into the US, closest to where its produced. We do not distribute this small quantity of products across the Country East to West, to Canadians.
- How do you feed Canada, let alone do it without it costing Canadians any monies, this is a big ask and task.
- What does Canada have that other countries don’t that we could trade to accomplish this. Cost effective hydro, lots of water, if collected effectively, We do not have the growing season or the number of sunny days in a year to grow what we need or the land with that climate zone to enable us to do so.
- Our technology breakthroughs in solar array construction and water desalination production gives us something else to trade with Countries that are in desperate need of hydro and water. We have removed the barriers to scale the construct of solar and water to enable us to fund the growing of the vegetables that is needed to feed everyone in Canada.
- It seems unattainable, however technology and our scaling breakthroughs allow us to do just that.
- What we need is access to the land in the climate region with which to accomplish growing our vegetables year round.
To bring this to an actual functioning process, our team needs your membership now to enable us to demonstrate our scaled breakthroughs to those that need what we can supply for them. This will enable them to justify partnering with us and giving us long term access, 100 years, to such lands to grow our vegetable needs for Canada. It comes down to the challenge of us achieving the raising the funds to demonstrate our technology to secure the land. Its that simple, building to scale etc is the easy part, getting Canadians to believe that we have the ability to do this today is our biggest barrier. Your membership, now, today, allows us to achieve this for Canada. This give Canadians the opportunity to own such a project with such capabilities. Our Non-Profit Coop and its members will own the project and its assets, not the Governments. Time to step up Canada, quit complaining about vegetable costs and do what the Government can’t do because they don’t have the knowledge to understand or comprehend how it is possible. It’s that easy. 🙂
Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide every Canadian with vegetables and ground fruits at no cost, all year round, every year.
